Create deeper relationships between students, alumni, faculty, parents, staff and friends of SMU as a whole and within each University group
Combine many of the existing events scheduled in the late spring into a new campus-wide university weekend that celebrates the best of SMU
Create a new tradition for students, out-of-towners, and locals to come back to campus each spring and reconnect with the University

1.Volunteer your time to help the students, faculty, and staff plan the new Founders Day weekend.
2.Give ideas on what you think would be the best for your class to incorporate into the schedule. We want to go BIG, and know this weekend can grow year-to-year
3. Become a sponsor for the events of the weekend, for the concert, nighttime events, lectures, etc.
4. Partner with us to provide any in-kind donations that will help facilitate the events of the weekend
5. Help create exposure of the new celebration to drive widespread participation from the alumni and the local community
6. Show up on April 10-12th to enjoy this new tradition
